You don’t have to change parties to hire an engineer.

I’m the Democrat in this race, and I’m asking for your vote in one race, the State House seat in District 99.

I grew up in a Republican family in Lexington, and I love them. I hunt, I have a gun safe and I put in regular range time.

My family and I don’t agree on everything, and we talk about it anyway. I tell them what a bill does and what it costs, and we leave the labels out of it. That’s the deal I’m offering you.

Here’s what you’d get. A representative who reads the bill before he votes. One who can tell you what it does to your taxes, your power bill and your drive to work. And somebody who answers when you call.

How to split one race

If you vote a straight Republican ticket, you can still vote for me. Choose straight party first. When you reach State House District 99, touch my name, and the candidate chosen before is deselected. The rest of your ballot stays the way you set it.
