I’m Samuel Price. I build software for a living, and I’m the Democrat running to represent Cainhoy, Daniel Island and Hanahan in the State House.
I’ve called Berkeley County home for the past 15 years, and this state for the past 30. South Carolina has had the same supermajority failing to support our state.
The issuesThe last two times this seat was on the ballot, it had one name on it. This year it has two, and one of them is mine.
I grew up in Lexington, back when the school bus had to wait for tractors to cross the road. I helped on my grandparents’ vegetable farm and hunted with my grandfather. He taught me something I use every day.

I spent years building software on government contracts, and I saw first hand how public money gets spent. My job is to fix problems, catch failures before they happen, and engineer the fix when they do. I’m also a nerd who plays video games, and I own it.
I come from a Republican family, and I love them. I hunt, and I put in regular range time.
You don’t have to change parties to hire an engineer.
The State House has plenty of lawyers and real estate folks, and they are about to make decisions about AI, data centers and Flock cameras for all of us. We need people who understand what they’re voting on.
